These are some new CD, DVD, and vinyl editions of "We Will Rock You" These items were issued in France, Belgium and in Germany. In France the We Will Rock You song was played up by radio and tv because it was used as the soundtrack for the Water Evian adverts. The song used in this pub was sung by a group of children and it's a nice cover of the Queen song. The first cd single which came out in June and contained 2 versions: 1. We will

Also a promotional edition of this cd (which has the same sleeve of the two tracks cd!) was issued, it contains 4 tracks as follow: 1. We will
rock you (remix 2003)
Due to the
fact that this song has remained on French charts for weeks and weeks,
EMI France decided to issue other 2 cd singles with the original Queen
version inside of them (not the cover version!) followed with We Are The
Champions.
The GREAT new is that also a 12" was issued in France with the Cat. n. EMI 724355 21286. This is the first Queen 12" issued after 7 years (the last 12" was "You Don't Fool Me" issued in 1996)!!! EMI Germany followed the French example, releasing the same title in its Country too, in a jewel case version only. This item was issued the 14th July 2003 in its pink sleeve. Also the EMI Belgium decided to issue a pinkie sleeve edition of the Queen song, so a two tracks (WWRY + WATC) edition in card sleeve was issued in belgium too!! It could be the same of the French edition but with an important difference: in the Belgium edition there's the written "THE ORIGINAL VERSION" in the place where was written "LA VERSION ORIGINALE" in the French edition and "DAS ORIGINAL!" in the German edition! A new cd single has been issued in Germany the 28th of July. It is the EVIAN remixed version (but it is a cover version more then a remix of a Queen song!!) with the same two tracks of the French commercial cd single (Remix + Instrumental). This edition was initially issued in the format of a 3" cd single that has a plastic mini jewel case. The very interesting fact is that it was ONLY issued that day (28th August) in limited quantity and have been sold only on that day through German music shops!! it is supposed that it will become soon rare! The standard edition in the classic format of a 5" cd with a plastic jewel case has been issued in Germany some days later then the 28th August. It was issued in two different sleeves one has the "microphone in glass" picture and the other has a funny picture of a smiling cartoon (the cartoon from the "Forever Young" album! Read below!). Both these editions have 4 tracks that are the same remixes of the French promo edition: 1. We will

On the end of August a new item has been issued in France. It is a DVD which contains 2 clips with the WWRY Evian remix issued in card sleeve in limited edition. The sleeve artwork recalls the new French compilation cd "Forever Young" that is an album which comprises 11 tracks with some '80s famous song re-sung by the same children of the Evian WWRY song (KCPK band). The first song of that album is, of course, We Will Rock You!! In France was also issued a new compilation that is very similar to the "Forever Young", it is called "Kids Will Rock You" and has 16 tracks sung by some kids. Needless to say what is the first song of this album... WWRY of course!! A 12" Promo of the Evian Remix WWRY was also issued within the August in Germanyonly! It was issued in a plain white sleeve and only few details on both the labels of the record, only very few of them exist! The following,
and (hopefully) last WWRY cd single was scheduled to be issued in UK
the
18th August 2003, but it has been re-scheduled for some month later. It
will be certainly spliced in two editions: one EVIAN version with 2 tracks
and one EVIAN version with 4 tracks as a limited promo release only. The
pictures will be shown here when it will becomes available. Actually has
been issued in UK a 1 track only promo edition in plastic case.
CURIOSITY: A special algorithm (so called "Copy Controlled") protects these cds from being read with computer equipment. That's made to fight music piracy. When you buy one of these cds you must know that you CANNOT use them on your pc or mac!! CURIOSITY 2:
A new cd single will be issued in France scheduled for the 26th of August
